The assignment

Introduction
When the company idea, which had been in the works of Chris' mind for over two years, was described to me as a tracking/statistics app for quantified selfers, and everyone else, which motivated people to be better people while also letting them make money on their own data while keeping a strong privacy focus. Besides being able to track everything in your life, the app also had a travel planner, a gym planner and many fun little Easter eggs such as showing how close your body was to a Greek sculpture.

Scaling down the scoop
Though the end goal remains to make MyDa the leading personal statistics and motivational app system, we first need to build the brand and get the app going. Looking around the market, the one thing that really sticks out with MyDa is that users sell their own data. This is also the aspect that users need to accept in order for the company to go around.

I proposed that we make the MVP an app which let the user give money to charity by simply letting the app collect passive data such as location and movement. All the user needed to do is to create a quick data profile and allow the app to gather the required data. From there we can continue on testing motivational notifications and adding manual input options.

My role
Chis Hardaker, currently head of product at YEAY, created MyDa 3 years ago and have been working on it alone as a passion project since then. We met at ZenMate where I worked in costumer support and he as VP of product, and my manager. He saw my potential for design and asked me to join his new company as co-founder and design lead, taking full responsibility for the UX, UI, and branding.

Mapping out the app

User Goals
To figure out what pages the app will need, I'm defining what the users goal is and from these goals, what need to be achieved to reach the goal. For MyDa I have chosen to split the goal into two categories. 'Main' and 'Gain'. The 'Main' goal is the reson the user downloaded the app, and the 'Gain' is why they will loves using it. I set the achievements in two levels, going from the top down.

Main
